Tracy Whatmore

Associate Professor Tracy Whatmore is part of the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, where she holds the position of Senior Tutor. She joined in 2012 and teaches Professional Studies and Primary English on the PGDip in Primary Education (PGCE Advanced) course. Tracy also serves as a Personal Tutor to postgraduate and undergraduate students and supervises dissertations and doctoral students.

Her professional background includes roles at Newman University as Programme Leader for Masters and Primary Education programmes, and at Birmingham City University as Director of BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education. She began her career as a primary school teacher and further education lecturer before transitioning into higher education.
