Tracy Taylor is an Associate Professor of Art at Lake Forest College, specializing in contemporary art with a focus on painting, multimedia, and curatorial practices. She holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2001) and a BFA from the University of New Mexico (1998), where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude honors.
Her research explores intersections between traditional painting and digital media, evidenced by exhibitions like Bilingual (2007-2008) and performances with modern dance ensembles. Taylor has curated numerous exhibitions, including projects at Columbia College Chicago and the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration. She has received grants from the Illinois Arts Council and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, supporting her multimedia work.
