Tracy Hunt

Dr. Tracy Hunt serves as an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education Department at The Chicago School, teaching in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Online Program. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she integrates community mental health leadership and trauma-informed care into her academic role.

Her educational background includes:

• PhD in Counseling from The Chicago School (Online, 2024)
• MS in Counseling from Loyola University of Maryland (Baltimore, 2016)
• BA in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, 2008)

Dr. Hunt's research centers on counselor identity development and trauma equity, with expertise spanning multicultural counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and African American psychology. Her work emphasizes creating transformative spaces through authenticity and empathy, addressing critical gaps in diversity-focused mental health care.
