Tracy Dodson

Tracy Dodson is a Lecturer in Management at the University of Glasgow's School of Services and Operations Management. With over 30 years of professional experience, she specializes in project management practice improvement and services/operations management. Her career involves global leadership roles directing multi-million-dollar projects for organizations like BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and Chevron, with expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), financial transformation, and organizational change management.

Currently teaches undergraduate Service and Operations Management and postgraduate Project Management. Conducts PhD research on the influence of project managers during the planning stage of projects. Served on the West Australian Women’s Advisory Council focusing on gender equity in business leadership. Has extensive experience managing Project Management Offices (PMOs), strategic policy development, and leading cultural change initiatives in both corporate and government sectors.

Key areas of practice include business intelligence strategy, global financial process optimization, and stakeholder engagement in large-scale transformations. Her advisory work combines academic rigor with real-world project execution across mining, energy, and public sectors.
