Dr. Tracy Appling is a Teaching Professor and Internship Director at the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University. She oversees student placements in federal, state, local, and non-profit agencies and teaches in SPIA's Leadership in the Public Sector online program. Dr. Appling is Quality Matters (QM) E-Learning Course Certified and serves as a QM peer reviewer nationally. Previously, she held roles including Interim Development Director at the Institute for Emerging Issues, Development Coordinator at NC State’s Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs, and Student Development Coordinator for Cooperative Education.
