University of Wisconsin-ParksideAbout
Traci Lee, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She holds a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Oncology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her postdoctoral training at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute in Toronto focused on yeast molecular biology. Dr. Lee teaches courses ranging from general genetics to advanced molecular biology, emphasizing critical analysis of primary research. Her research explores gene expression regulation in budding yeast, particularly sulfur metabolism pathways controlled by the Met4 transcriptional complex. She has received a 2016 NSF-funded award to integrate RNA-Seq into undergraduate research. Dr. Lee actively serves on university and system-wide committees, including the UW-System’s IDEAS Alliance Advisory Board, and has held leadership roles in teaching and learning initiatives.
