Dr. Traci Fredman serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at West Texas A&M University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, holding the SS "Buddy" Stephens Professorship in Communication Disorders since joining in Fall 2014.
Her educational background includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (2002, 2004) followed by a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the same institution in 2021.
Research focuses on early identification and intervention for autism spectrum disorders, mother-child interactions, and early literacy experiences in children. Her work targets evidence-based strategies for at-risk pediatric populations through clinical partnerships like Opportunity School.
