Tracey Berry is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Royal Holloway University of London, and serves as the Vice-Dean of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences (EPMS). Her research focuses on experimental particle physics using the ATLAS detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider, targeting high-mass dielectron, dimuon, and diphoton events to explore beyond Standard Model theories like Z' bosons and gravitons.
- University of Oxford (MPhys in Physics, 1999; D.Phil in Particle Physics, 2002)
- PPARC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at University of Liverpool (2002–2005)
- Lecturer at Royal Holloway University of London (since 2005)
Her recent research involves deep generative models for photon shower simulation, track reconstruction software performance in LHC Run 3, and flow decorrelations in xenon collisions. She leads initiatives in EDI governance at institutional and national levels, including roles on the STFC Science Board and IoP committees. Teaching roles include course leadership for mathematics and particle physics courses, supervising PhD and undergraduate project students, and serving as a personal tutor.
