Tova Gardin

Tova Gardin, MD, MPP, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. Her work focuses on immunologic mechanisms at the intersection of Psychiatry and Neurology, with a particular interest in autoimmune diseases affecting the central nervous system (CNS) such as multiple sclerosis and autoimmune encephalitis. She completed her Neurology residency at Yale and holds board certification in Neurology.

• MD from Harvard Medical School (2017) with Honors in Research
• MPP from Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University (2016)
• BA from Stern College (2010)
• Research: Investigates imaging biomarkers in traumatic brain injury and schizophrenia, and studies transcriptional profiles in autoimmune CNS diseases. She aims to develop targeted therapeutics for psychiatric/neurologic immune-mediated conditions.
• Awards: NIH R25 Development Award (awarded during Neurology residency).
