Toru Suzuki

Toru Suzuki is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), affiliated with the Economics Discipline Group within the Business School. He holds a PhD in Economics from Boston University. His research focuses on microeconomic theory, game theory, and the intersection of economics with language and bounded rationality. Dr. Suzuki explores topics such as communication frictions, rational miscommunication, and the design of optimal competition schemes.

His academic work spans theoretical contributions to areas like indexical silence in communication, expressive directives' motivational impacts, and choice set-dependent performance effects. He has published in top journals including the Journal of Economic Theory, International Journal of Game Theory, and Mathematical Social Sciences.

Dr. Suzuki is available to supervise PhD and master’s students in microeconomic theory and game theory. His research also touches on electoral systems, legal economics, and behavioral biases' complementary effects in decision-making contexts.
