Torben Valdbjørn Rasmussen

Torben Valdbjørn Rasmussen is a Senior Researcher at Aalborg University's Department of the Built Environment. As a civil engineer and PhD holder, he researches future building materials, their application, performance, and durability with expertise in material mechanics, building physics, and experimental modeling.

His research focuses on sustainable construction, particularly moisture characteristics of biobased materials, wood-frame wall design, and climate adaptation in building regulations. He coordinates the Master in Building Physics program and contributes to projects on green transitions in vocational education.

Rasmussen develops educational resources on building regulations, energy efficiency, and radon safety. He participates in knowledge dissemination through Klimatilpasning.dk and Radonguiden.dk platforms.
