Dr. Torben K Becker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He serves as Chief of Service of Emergency Medicine for UF Health Shands, Vice-Chair & Chief of Critical Care Medicine, and Executive Director (Emergency Medicine) of the UF Health Critical Care Organization. He holds affiliate appointments in Anesthesiology, Environmental & Global Health, and the UF Center for African Studies.

His recent publications highlight innovations in extracorporeal CPR, pediatric telemedicine, and ECMO configurations. His research spans clinical trials, systematic reviews, and implementation studies in low-income regions.
