Tony Vickery

Tony Vickery is a Teaching Professor in the Theatre department at the University of Victoria. He is currently on leave from January 1st to June 30th. His office is located in Phoenix Building Room 155a, and he can be reached at avickery@uvic.ca or 250-721-7998.

He also explores melodrama and British and North American theatre of the 19th and 20th centuries, particularly analyzing theories of commercial theatrical administration, historical business models, and the evolution of touring companies in Canada and the U.S.

Tony's recent publications examine topics such as accounting fraud in live entertainment, the influence of corporate media on theatre, and historical case studies of theatrical touring patterns. His work bridges financial analysis and cultural history, emphasizing the intersection of commerce and art in shaping theatrical practices.
