Tony Redmond

Professor Tony Redmond OBE is a distinguished academic and medical professional affiliated with the Manchester Medical School at the University of Manchester. With over twenty-five years of experience, he has led medical teams in sudden-onset disasters, complex emergencies, and conflicts, including the earthquakes in China (2008) and Haiti (2010).

His current roles include directing the UK International Emergency Trauma Register, which focuses on improving training and accountability for responders to large-scale overseas emergencies, and serving as the Academic Lead for Global Health Education at Manchester Medical School. His work bridges clinical practice, disaster management, and public health education.
