About
Toni Wagner is a designer, researcher, and educator specializing in design research, storytelling, and experience design. Currently serving as Research Coordination SI–LAB at Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), she also holds roles at Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (NL) and teaches at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd (DE). Her work bridges critical theory with everyday practices, focusing on themes like maintenance, slow fashion, and feminist care through tactile, collaborative methods.
With a BA in Interaction Design and MA in Critical Design Research, Wagner actively translates complex ideas into accessible formats such as writing, podcasting, and broadcasting. She is pursuing certification as a seamstress via Modevakschool Nationaal (NL) while advancing thesis research on mending practices within slow fashion. Her practice emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, blending design, social innovation, and systems thinking.
Wagner’s research collaborations include Morgä Studio, where she produces podcasts and explores participatory design methodologies. She maintains an open repository of tools and resources through her Notion-based 'second brain,' documenting projects, book recommendations, and design frameworks.
