Tong Wang

Tong Wang is a Research Professor and Imaging Facility Manager at the Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC) of the City University of New York (CUNY). He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from New York University (2007) and has extensive postdoctoral experience at Brookhaven National Lab and NYU. His research focuses on interdisciplinary nanotechnology, structural biology, and molecular imaging, with expertise in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and DNA-based nanomaterials.

Research interests include DNA-templated functional nanomaterials, bio-inspired molecular assemblies, and structural analysis of protein complexes. His recent work explores drug delivery systems using DNA nanostructures and the self-assembly of nanoparticle clusters via DNA frameworks.

Publications highlight advancements in graphene functionalization, peptide self-assembly, and catalytic materials. His lab integrates cryo-EM and TEM imaging to visualize molecular-scale structures. Collaborations with institutions like Brookhaven National Lab and NYU have driven innovations in nanotechnology applications.

He manages the ASRC Imaging Suite, supporting cutting-edge microscopy facilities for interdisciplinary research. Current projects aim to bridge nanotechnology with biotechnology for healthcare and material science advancements.
