Tommy Perkins

Tommy Perkins is an Associate Professor of Animal Science at West Texas A&M University's Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences. He serves as Director of the WTAMU Ranches (Nance Ranch, Gerdsen Ranch) and holds the Dean Hawkins Endowed Distinguished Chair for Cow Calf Management. His expertise lies in beef cattle ultrasound and genomics.

• Teaches courses in Animal Breeding, Stocker Cattle Management, and Reproductive Techniques
• Member of American Society of Animal Science and American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists

His research focuses on live cattle body composition evaluation via ultrasound and improving livestock genomics/reproductive performance through advanced technologies.
