Assoc. Prof. Tomaž Curk is an Associate Professor and Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (UL FRI), University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on applying machine learning and bioinformatics to analyze large biological datasets, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases and systems biology. He teaches courses such as Introduction to Bioinformatics, Data Mining, and Bioinformatics Algorithms.
He is a member of the Bioinformatics Laboratory and leads multiple research projects funded by ARRS (Slovenian Research Agency), EU, and structural funds.
