Tomasz Kwapiński

Tomasz Kwapiński is a Professor at the Department of Surface Physics and Nanostructures, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. He has maintained professional affiliation with UMCS since 2003 and holds habilitation in physical sciences with thesis titled 'Conduction and charge waves in atomic chains'.

Dr. Kwapiński's research spans theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics with focus on nanoscale quantum phenomena. His work examines electron transport mechanisms in low-dimensional systems, quantum dot physics, atomic chain conduction properties, and spin-related phenomena with applications in quantum computing. His research combines theoretical modeling with experimental verification through STM spectroscopy and related techniques.

His scientific achievements have been recognized through:
