Tomaso Maria Lucchelli is an Associate Professor of Ancient and Medieval Numismatics in the Department of Humanities at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He holds a Laurea cum laude in Roman History from the University of Milan (1995) and has conducted research at Cambridge University and the University of Bonn. His expertise focuses on Greek and Roman coinage, ancient economic history, and numismatic evidence from archaeological contexts.
Research interests include Roman provincial coinage, monetary economy in antiquity, and historical processes reconstructed through coinage. He contributes to editorial boards of journals like the Rivista Italiana di Numismatica and serves as a reviewer for Italian and European research projects.
