Tom Welman

Tom Welman is a Lecturer at the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Department of Sociology. His research focuses on social stigma, identity management, and contemporary urban issues.

His 2022 publication in Mens en Maatschappij examines Erving Goffman's theories on stigma in modern Dutch society, analyzing evolving dynamics of physical deviations, character flaws, and tribal differences in 21st-century social interactions.
