Tom Le is an Associate Professor of Politics at Pomona College and Chair of Politics. He co-coordinates the Asian Studies program and has been with Pomona since 2015.

Research Interests focus on Japanese security policy, U.S.-Japan alliance dynamics, war memory and reconciliation, and East Asia regionalism. His work examines constraints on Japanese militarism, Japan-South Korea relations, and the impact of demographics and technology on security frameworks.
Scientific Awards include Sasakawa Peace Foundation Fellowship, Fulbright Fellowship, US-Korea NextGen Scholars Program, and Wig Fund Teaching Innovation Grant.
Grants & Fellowships span multiple institutions: Korea Foundation grants, CION Trust grants, and support from American Friends of the International House of Japan.
