Dr. Tom Jaksic is the W. Hardy Hendren Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Vice-Chairman of Pediatric General Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital, and the Surgical Director of the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation (CAIR). He is a leading expert in pediatric gastrointestinal surgery with a focus on intestinal rehabilitation and short bowel syndrome.
Dr. Jaksic completed his medical education at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario (1981), followed by an internship and residency at the University of Toronto (1982-1990). He also completed fellowships at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1986) and New England Deaconess Hospital (1987).
