Tom Greenfield is a Professor of English at SUNY Geneseo's Department of English and Creative Writing since 1991. His research focuses on Western drama from 1700 to the present, American studies, and Irish literature. He received the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching (2009).
- Education: Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota
His scholarly works include edited encyclopedias on Broadway and radio, as well as monographs on American drama and work ethics. He is currently writing a book on American history and musical theater. Greenfield has contributed articles to journals like The Arthur Miller Journal, South Atlantic MLA, and Comparative Drama.
He previously served as SUNY Geneseo's Dean until 2002, establishing their overseas humanities program. He is president of the Phi Beta Kappa Alpha Delta chapter and former faculty advisor to Alpha Delta Epsilon sorority for 13 years.
