Tom Goodman

Tom Goodman serves as Professor of Double Bass at the Royal Academy of Music, University of London, since 2015. As principal double bassist with London Symphony Orchestra and guest principal for multiple ensembles, his research integrates professional performance practice with pedagogical frameworks for bass education.

He established the Bass Department at Junior Royal Northern College of Music and formerly taught at Chetham's School of Music. His chamber music collaborations include performances with Nash Ensemble and London Sinfonietta.
