Tom Carr is a Brass Tutor at the Guildhall Young Artists Norwich, part of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying trumpet under notable mentors such as Alan Thomas, Jon Holland, and Andy Stone-Fewings. His performance experience includes principal trumpet roles in the Symphony Orchestra and participation in ensembles like the Thallien Ensemble (contemporary music group). He has also contributed to the soundtrack of BBC’s Peaky Blinders and performed in operas, musicals, and chamber music settings.
Awarded the Alfred Corfield Trumpet Prize in 2018, Tom has engaged in masterclasses with renowned artists like Rex Richardson and Allen Vizzuti.
