Todor Todorov

Prof. Dr. Todor Todorov is a Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy's Faculty of Transport Engineering. He holds office hours on Tuesdays and Fridays and teaches courses on Theory of Social Relations, Philosophy of Culture and Religion, and Society, Culture, Values. Previously, he served as Associate Professor (1992), Professor (2012), Department Head (1992-2004, 2005-2012), and Deputy Dean of the Faculty (2004-2012).

His research interests span:

• Fundamental philosophy: Ontology, epistemology, truth, categories
• Social philosophy: Social relations, social structure, freedom, political philosophy
• Cultural studies: Philosophy of culture, values, Renaissance philosophy, mythology

His publications focus on philosophical analyses of freedom, social transition, cultural paradigms, and value systems, with recent work examining Renaissance cultural models and education-culture relationships.

Prof. Todorov has participated in international research collaborations including:

• Comparative anomie studies with Swiss Academy for Development Problems (1998)
• Bulgarian agricultural competitiveness projects with University of Neuchâtel (2002)

He maintains memberships in the Bulgarian Philosophical Society and Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, where he represents the Philosophical Sciences section.
