Todd Slaughter is a Professor in the Sculpture program at The Ohio State University's Department of Art. With a MID from Pratt Institute and BFA from University of Texas Austin, Slaughter has exhibited internationally and nationally, including shows at the Akron Art Museum, Neuberger Museum of Art, Artists Space, PS 1, and the Chicago Cultural Center.
His current work includes the 'American Primitives' series, which explores relationships between Henry David Thoreau's Walden Pond and American isolationism through sculptural installations. Slaughter has created permanent public works for Midway Airport in Chicago and in Tarifa/Algeciras, Spain.
