Todd Nelson

Todd Nelson serves as a Senior Lecturer and Managing Director of Purdue Motorsports within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University's College of Engineering, West Lafayette campus.

His professional focus encompasses:

• Motorsports Engineering
• Automotive Engineering Systems
• Mechanical Engineering Education
• Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) Pedagogy

In his leadership capacity for Purdue Motorsports, Mr. Nelson directs student teams in vehicle design, fabrication, and competitive racing events while integrating these experiences into academic curricula through the VIP program (ME2201). This initiative provides undergraduate students sustained engagement in multidisciplinary engineering projects spanning multiple semesters.
