Todd Harold Wareham

Todd Harold Wareham is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has been with the university since 1999, progressing from Assistant Professor to his current tenured Professor position since 2016. His academic journey began with undergraduate degrees at Memorial University followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Victoria.

Wareham's research spans multiple interconnected fields within theoretical computer science. His work focuses on computational complexity, algorithm design and analysis, with applications in cognitive science and computational biology. He has developed several specialized courses that bridge computer science with other disciplines, particularly in computational biology and natural language processing.

Throughout his career, Wareham has maintained an active presence in both academic service and professional development. He has served on numerous conference committees, university committees, and has been involved in various interdisciplinary research initiatives. His teaching portfolio demonstrates a commitment to both foundational computer science education and specialized advanced topics.
