Tobias Wenzel

Professor Tobias Wenzel serves as Professor of Building Theory and Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Social Sciences, Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig) since 2015. Previously, he held the same professorship at West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau from 2003 to 2015.

His academic background includes a Diploma from the Berlin University of the Arts in 1993, followed by professional architectural practice in Berlin. His teaching career began with research assistant work at the Chair of Fundamentals of Design at Bauhaus University Weimar (1995-2000) and included teaching assignments at Dresden University of Applied Sciences (2004-2005).

Professor Wenzel's expertise bridges academic theory and professional architectural practice, with his research interests focusing on architectural design methodology, building theory, and the historical context of architectural practice.
