Tirthankar Roy is a Lecturer in Marketing and Director of the Master's Program in Marketing at the Department of Marketing, Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. He holds a PhD in Marketing from UCLA (1999), a Master of Statistics (1981), and a Bachelor of Statistics (Honors) (1980) from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, India.
Research Interests: His research focuses on international marketing, pricing strategies, and marketing strategy, with a particular emphasis on consumer response to targeted price promotions and consistency in consumer attitude measurements. His work bridges statistical modeling with marketing applications, especially in fuzziness measurement and decision theory.
Publications: His notable works include studies on deal exclusivity, consumer psychology, and fuzzy logic in decision-making, published in journals like Journal of Marketing and International Journal of Research in Marketing.
