Tina Sutton

Dr. Tina Sutton is Professor in the Department of Psychology at Rochester Institute of Technology, where she directs the Attention, Cognition, and Emotion (ACE) Lab. She holds a Ph.D. from SUNY Albany.

Her research examines interactions between cognition and emotion, including:

• Attentional capture by emotional stimuli
• Emotional language processing
• Memory encoding strategies
• Effective learning techniques

Her publications investigate how emotional valence and arousal influence perception and memory, with recent work on note-taking strategies and classroom learning practices.
