Tina Eliassi-Rad is the Joseph E. Aoun Professor at Northeastern University's Khoury College of Computer Sciences. She serves as core faculty at the Network Science Institute and external faculty at the Santa Fe Institute and Vermont Complex Systems Institute. Her research bridges data mining, machine learning, and network science with emphasis on trustworthy AI systems and societal impacts.
Her current research programs focus on:
- Trustworthy Network Science: Enhancing explainability, robustness, and fairness in graph-based machine learning
- Just Machine Learning: Analyzing AI within broader sociotechnical systems to mitigate systemic risks
