Timothy W. Bretl

Timothy W. Bretl is a Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds affiliations with multiple institutions including the Coordinated Science Laboratory and Neuroscience Program. His research focuses on robotics, control systems, rehabilitation robotics, and brain-machine interfaces. Bretl has a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University (2005) and dual bachelor's degrees from Swarthmore College (1999).
