Timothy Simcoe is the David J. McGrath Jr. Professor in Strategy & Innovation and Department Chair at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University. His research focuses on standards and standards development, innovation, intellectual property, technology, and corporate strategy. He has advised major corporations in the information technology sector and served as a Senior Economist on President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers (2014-15). Previously, he held academic and professional roles at the University of Toronto and Ernst & Young LLP.
