Timothy Mills is an Adjunct Professor and Associate Lecturer in the Linguistics Department at the University of Alberta. He teaches courses in Introductory Linguistics (LING101 & LING102), Phonetics (LING205), quantitative methods (LING523 & LING603), and occasionally phonetics and technology classes at CILLDI. He is affiliated with the Alberta Phonetics Laboratory (APhL) and the Alberta Language Technology Lab (ALTLAB).

- Voice quality analysis via spectral tilt and creaky voice quantification
- Educational technology for linguistics instruction
- Acoustic cues in whispered speech perception
- Numerical measurement of endoscopic video data
