Timothy M Rainey

Timothy M Rainey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion at St. Olaf College. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in American Religious Cultures from Emory University, an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Morehouse College.

Professor Rainey's research explores the intersections of religion, race, and economy within the Black Atlantic world, with specialized attention to corporate engagements with Black faith communities during the 19th and 20th centuries. His work bridges disciplines such as religious studies, economic history, and African American studies.
