Timothy Logan is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University’s College of Arts and Sciences and currently serves as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. He joined FSU in 1994 as a founding member of the Structural Biology Program.
- Education: B.S. in Physiology from Michigan State University, Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago, and postdoctoral work at Abbott Laboratories.
Logan’s research focuses on protein structure, protein biophysics, and cell metabolism. He teaches biochemistry and general chemistry, earning the Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2003 and 2010. His career includes leadership roles as Director of the Institute for Molecular Biophysics and Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
