Timothy Garvin

Dr. Timothy Garvin is a Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems at Wayne State College. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska (1997), an MSE in Business Education from Wayne State College (1986), and a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from Wayne State College (1979).

His research and teaching focus on Management Information Systems, Project Management, Electronic Commerce, and emerging technologies. He previously served as Coordinator of the Nebraska Business Development Center Office (1984–1986).

Garvin has received notable awards including the Small Business Institute Award (1993, 1994) and the Delta Sigma Pi Outstanding Faculty Member Award (1990). His work emphasizes innovation management, IT leadership, and decision-support systems.
