Timothy Fitz-Gerald is an Instructor of Musical Theatre at the University of West Florida, affiliated with the Department of Theatre under the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. Prior to joining UWF, he served as an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at LaGrange College, where he directed and choreographed productions such as Urinetown, Crazy for You, and the original showcase A Story to Tell. He has also held teaching positions at Georgia State University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Research and Professional Interests: Timothy specializes in Musical Theatre and Theatre Pedagogy, with a focus on performance training, directing, and choreography. His career blends academic instruction with extensive practical experience in theatre production and performance.

Professional Background: As a performer, Timothy created the role of “Chris Bell” in The Boy from Oz on Broadway opposite Hugh Jackman, toured nationally with Wicked and Titanic the Musical, and originated roles in Off-Broadway productions like The Wind in the Willows. Regionally, he has performed in notable shows including Urinetown and Grey Gardens. He is a member of Actors Equity Association and has been represented by The Gage Group since 1999.
