Timothy Dacey

Timothy Dacey is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at SUNY Oswego's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research analyzes how public trauma reshapes social boundaries, with current focus on climate crisis impacts on public opinion and environmental policy support.

Using advanced quantitative methods and survey experiments, he investigates links between severe weather exposure, civic engagement, and political behavior. His publications appear in Sociology of Race and Ethnicity and Sociological Inquiry. He teaches Social Statistics, Environmental Sociology, and Sociological Theory.
