Professor Timothy Chevassut is a leading academic and clinician in haematology, serving as Chair of Haematology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), part of the University of Sussex. He is an honorary consultant at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. His expertise spans clinical haematology, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and epigenetic therapies. He holds academic roles including Director of Clinical Academic Training at BSMS and leads the Cancer Translation Advisory Group (CTAG).
Education: BMBCh (Oxford, 1993), MPH (Harvard, 1998), PhD (Edinburgh, 2006). Fellowships include the Royal College of Pathologists (2010) and Royal College of Physicians (2011).
