Timothy Betts

Timothy Betts is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Consultant Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He leads the Cardiac Rhythm Management group, specializing in catheter ablation, device therapy, and left atrial appendage occlusion. His research focuses on atrial fibrillation mechanisms, anticoagulation strategies, and innovative therapies like stereotactic radioablation. He leads multiple NIHR-funded studies (STAR-AF2, UNCOVER-AF, etc.) and collaborates with industry partners (Acutus Medical, GenesisCare).
