Timothy Beebe

Timothy Beebe is a Professor in the Division of Health Policy & Management at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He rejoined the faculty ranks after serving as Division Head for five years and Interim Dean for two years. He is Deputy Director of the University of Minnesota Center for Learning Health Systems Sciences (CLHSS), established in 2021 to advance applied healthcare research. His expertise spans survey methodology, patient-reported outcomes, and health services research.

Beebe’s research focuses on testing data collection methods across diverse populations, developing health measures, and evaluating healthcare delivery systems to improve value in clinical practices. He emphasizes health care policy and equitable access for vulnerable groups, with recent work aligning with CLHSS’s mission to bridge public health and medical school initiatives.

At CLHSS, Beebe collaborates with the Medical School to strengthen system capacity for learning health systems research. Previously, he led the Survey Research Center at Mayo Clinic and contributed to healthcare delivery science through the Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.
