Timothy Beasley

Timothy Beasley is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health. He holds concurrent roles as Senior Scientist and Scientist across multiple centers within the UAB School of Medicine, including the Comprehensive Arthritis, Musculoskeletal, Bone and Autoimmunity Center (CAMBAC), Integrative Center for Aging Research, and Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). His career began at UAB in October 2001, initially as an Associate Professor before advancing to his current rank.

Dr. Beasley earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1993. His research focuses on statistical methodology with applications in aging, experimental gerontology, pharmacology, genetics, and clinical sciences. He collaborates extensively with researchers in obesity, radiology, and biological sciences, contributing to over 50 applied research articles across disciplines like medicine, psychology, and education.

He has served on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the National Institutes on Aging's Experimental Gerontology Laboratory and maintains active roles in interdisciplinary research centers addressing aging, arthritis, and translational science. His work emphasizes bridging statistical rigor with practical biomedical applications.
