Timothy A. Puckett

Timothy A. Puckett, DC, MD is a Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He serves as Executive Chief of Staff at OU Medical Center, having previously held the Associate Chief of Staff position for five years. He holds the Dr. Henry James Freede Chair in Orthopedic Surgery, an endowed chair awarded in 2008.

Dr. Puckett specializes in spinal surgery, including cervical and lumbar spine conditions with a focus on deformity correction and trauma. He has extensive clinical and educational experience, having taught nationally and internationally. His career began with a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan Chiropractic College (Chesterfield, MO), followed by an MD from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency and fellowship in Spine Surgery at Southern Illinois University.

He actively contributes to global health through annual medical mission trips to India. Professional memberships include the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (Fellow).
