Professor Timo de Wolff leads the Applied Algebra research group at the Institut für Analysis und Algebra of Technische Universität Braunschweig. He will serve as department head for the mathematics department from 2025 to 2027. His work bridges real algebraic geometry, polynomial optimization, and computational methods, with applications in chemical reaction networks, material design, and theoretical computer science.
