Tim Watson

Professor Tim Watson serves as Professor of Cyber Security and Director of the Cyber Security Centre at Loughborough University, leveraging over thirty years of cross-sector experience in government, industry, and academia. He consults for major telecoms, power, and transport corporations while advising UK government entities and professional standards bodies on critical security matters.

His research spans high-impact domains including cyber crime mitigation, automated defense mechanisms, insider threat analysis, secure remote working protocols, and critical national infrastructure protection. These initiatives are funded by the European Union, UK Ministry of Defence, and UK Research and Innovation.
