Tim Verrinder

Tim Verrinder is a Senior Lecturer at Ravensbourne University London's Digital Television Production department. With over 20 years of experience, he has directed major live and pre-recorded TV formats including BBC2’s Strictly It Takes Two, BBC1’s The One Show (including Glastonbury live broadcasts), and BBC4 presentation roles. He also served as a sports presentation director at the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics.

His expertise spans augmented reality, virtual sets, motion capture, and live streaming for international film premieres and award ceremonies. Previously, he co-founded a comedy sketch group, honing scriptwriting skills that inform his teaching.

Tim has launched channels, directed high-profile events, and currently works on Channel4’s Sunday Brunch. His career bridges creative direction, technical innovation, and academic mentorship in media production.
